Hi I'm Kevin

I am a musician, I love computers, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music. I love listening to it and creating it. That is probably my biggest passion. I'm also a computer geek, and love helping people solve their technical problems. I'm planning on going to college for computer science. I'm also a very social person, I don't like to do things alone. On the side I build and launch model rockets, love taking stuff apart and fixing things; I'm an improvisor, and I love my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and raised up by my wonderful parents to whom I owe it all. They taught me about God and who Jesus Christ is. As I continued to grow in the church I realized that I really needed a firm testimony of my own. I made it a serious matter of study and prayer. I read the Book of Mormon and tested the promise given in Moroni 10:3-5. I KNOW that it's true beyond all doubts. That is why I'm a Mormon. God told me it's true through the power of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

You cannot be a Mormon, without actually DOING it. I read my scriptures every day and pray morning and night. I attend church every week and participate in all the activities during the week that are provided by the church. I try to take the counsel of the prophets both ancient and modern and apply it in my life. I try to be kind to everyone and do my best to follow the example of Jesus Christ.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We fully believe that the Bible is the word of God and is Holy Scripture that we can read and apply in our life to help us know how to best follow God. The Bible is an amazing tool that God has given us that brings the spirit into our lives, gives us comfort when we are in times of trial, and helps us know what is right. I know the Bible is the word of God, not because of any archealogical evidence or "proof" that the world can provide. I know that it is the word of God because of the spirit that I feel as I read it's precious words and the testimony it bears of Jesus Christ as our savior and redeemer. Show more Show less

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

I fully attribute the growth of the church, how smoothly it runs and how it has continued to thrive as time goes on to the fact that it is God's true church. God established his church on the Earth when Adam was called to be the first prophet, and continued calling prophets who wrote a history now called the Bible. That church was restored in the 1800s when Joseph Smith was called to continue that same line of authority as the next prophet, and today that same church that began with Adam is called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of the church and runs it himself. That is why it grows so quickly. The truth will endure to the last. Show more Show less
