Hi I'm Tom

I was born in Michigan and moved to Arizona when I was 10. I taught school for 30 years. I am now retired. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read and do gardening. I have 5 children and 16 grandchildren. I love to spend time with them. I retired after 30 years as an elementary school teacher. I do substitute a couple days a week to stay busy. I am also into running and stay fit by doing that.

Why I am a Mormon

My wife and I joined the church in 1982. We saw what this church does in terms of family and knew that it would help us. The church has added a great dimension to our lives. We have grown so much in our testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that God lives. He loves us and wants us to be happy. This church helps us to know the way to happiness and peace in our lives. someday I know that I will meet Christ and I want to stand before Him and give a good report of my stewardship.

How I live my faith

I am very committed to my calling as the leader over the older men in our ward. I love the brothers and single sisters that I have steward over. We do service projects helping others and providing opportunities for temple service. As a leader of this group I organize parties with our Ward and sometimes with just the older men, their families and the single sisters. Our group is dedicated to the Hometeaching program and do an excellent job in watching over the families that they teach. In addition, my wife and I are Temple ordinance workers. We have the opportunity of going to the Temple once a week and working there for several hours.
