Hi I'm Rick

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an electrical engineer that designs airfield lighting and navigational aids. II enjoy my work and the people that I work with across the United States. I enjoy professional baseball and football games, fishing, hunting, sky diving, scuba diving, snorkling, snow skiing, water skiing, camping, hiking and traveling. I am a father of two wonderful children. My daughter is married and lives in Idaho. My son is 19 and and has recieved his mission call to serve for 2 years in the California Ventura mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents that were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I'm a Mormon because I know that Christ lives and this is his church. He loves us and because of that he has restored his church here on the earth. He has given us living Prophets to guide us today. I know that following his commandments brings me happiness in my life. It brings me closer to him. The Bok of Mormon is a true record and brings us the understanding of His gospel. It give me a pattern to follow for my life.

How I live my faith

I enjoy participating in my church meetings and learning about our Savior Jesus Christ. His church is not a church where you attend on Sunday and go home to forget about it for the rest of the week. I have had the opportunity to teach with my wife children in classes as young as 18 months, 2 year olds, 3 year olds and 11 year olds. It gives both my wife and I great joy to see the children lean and grow. I also have two families that I serve as a Home Teacher to by visting them in their homes at least once a month and to help out in any way that I can. I have come to love those that I serve.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Rick
My family brings more happiness in in my life than anything I can think of. Although sometimes family life has it's challanges it is the love the we have for each other that gets us through life. We strengthen each other, support each other and share common values. I know that the family is what Christ's church is all about. Being together forever. Show more Show less
