Hi I'm Lori

I'm from Wyoming but live in Colorado. I love the mountains and cooking and scrapbooking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. I am a Secretary at a High School. I enjoy spending time with my children and my pets, and love to cook and work on my scrapbooks. I enjoy hiking in the beautiful Colorado Mountains. I enjoy traveling to different places with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I feel comfortable here and I am accepted and loved by it's members. I am not a perfect person but this church challenges me to become a more perfect person. It gives me the desire to better myself for myself and for my husband and children. I believe in it's teachings and in Joseph Smith and in God and Jesus Christ. I am a convert to this church and always feel there are so many things I still have to learn to better understand God's love for me and how I can better serve him. I am in awe of his sacrifice for us and how we will ever live up to deserve his love. My first husband was a member of this church and I joined the church for him to be married to him. I have since learned that I have to have a testimony for me not for him. I am no longer married to this man and am remarried to a non-member. We have a lot of challenges in our marriage because of my membership in this church. It is often a difficult road to follow but I love this church and I love my husband and have to work to make them both work. It is not an easy road but one I must follow. I am a Mormon because I believe in the teachings of this church, I believe in Heavenly Father and in his Son and in the Holy Ghost. I believe in our women's organization, Relief Society and the compassionate service that we provide to our members and to the community. This church takes care of our own. This church also takes care of thousands of people through humanitarian aid to victims of national disasters all over the world. I am proud to call myself a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by holding a calling in our church as Secretary in the women's organization that we call "Relief Society". I also visit the women in our church on a monthly basis that we call "Visiting Teaching". I try to be a good example to those I work with and to my family. I am a block captain in my neighborhood and host yearly block parties. I also volunteer at yearly neighborhood events. I volunteer at my school and have volunteered at my children's sporting events.
