Hi I'm Kent

I have survived unemployment, health issues, and 4 children. I am in LOVE with my wife of nearly 30 years, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I moved around a lot as a youth growing up. My father worked for IBM. For us, that stands for I've Been Moved. By the age of 18, I had lived in 18 different homes. After my Mission for the Mormon Church, I married my sweetheart. We have 4 wonderful children. I have worked for several different companies trying to find my niche. Trying to survive unemployment lead me to self-employment. I have been self-employed since 2002-2013. In 2013, I took a position with Management Consulting firm out of Chicago. I have volunteered in Scouting on-and-off for the better part of my adult life.

Why I am a Mormon

Life has proven to be tougher than expected when compared to my thoughts as a youth: getting along with a spouse, raising children, unemployment, bills, broken-down cars, etc. But through it all, I have felt the comforting hand of my Savior because I have tried to walk his paths. In fact, the literal foundation the Gospel of Jesus Christ provides me, is a sure foundation upon which to build throughout the storms of life. While not easy, my family life has been largely free of the common pains and struggles associated with the vises of the world, because we live by the standards of the church. More important than personal and family wellness in times of struggle, is the calm reassuring voice inside that I feel when I study and share the gospel that tells me, "I am a child of God. Jesus' atonement is for me, and I can make it back to live with Him and my family for eternity."

How I live my faith

I live it every day by the things I choose to do and say.
