Hi I'm Mark

I'm a Mormon. I'm recently married and I'm loving life. I love cars and computers. I mostly grew up in CA but now reside in AZ.

About Me

I'm recently married and loving every second of it. I've always been interested in cars and computers since I was a little kid. I am a Corrections Officer (Guard) at a prison which is a fun job at times. I'm kind of an extremest, I like things that get your heart pumping. I have 1 1/2 years of MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) training which is also my favorite sport/art. My family is from all over, my mother is full Mexican while my father is half Irish and half Jamaican! So I have a pretty unusual mix. I love the outdoors, nature, animals, etc. And I LOVE MY CHURCH.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Mormon, I was baptized as a baby into the Catholic church but was Mormon starting my childhood all the way up to now. The way this church makes me feel and the way it sculpts my life is absolutely unexplainable. The churches teachings and direction has helped me overcome difficult times in my life. The spirit I feel when in church mixed with the warm welcoming people provides me with the love and spirit of the Holy Ghost that everyone needs in life. I will be a faithful Mormon the rest of my life because of the Spirit the church brings me, the teachings that sculpt my life, the organization it provides me and my family with, and most of all, the fact that families can be together forever by being sealed in the temple.

How I live my faith

I am a second counselor with the men in my church which enables me to take charge of various activities and to get to know a lot of the people that go to my ward. I follow up on a provided amount of individuals that are assigned to home teach families in the ward, organize building cleaning, and teach lessons in the church. Things like that bring the spirit in my life and help me with things that I need to work on and also provide me with organizational skills that weren't as good as before (Laughs). The things I do in my church help me with the challenges in life and involve family, work, and social skills. More basic ways on how I live my faith are following the word or wisdom, being physically and mentally clean, and reading my scriptures to strengthen my testimony and faith in the church.
