Hi I'm Tyson

I'm a Mormon. I am a husband, a father of 6, and a Notre Dame fan-- GO IRISH!!!

About Me

I am a proud father of 6, married to the most beautiful and wonderful woman in the world. I love outdoor recreation--fishing, camping, golf, etc. I have my MBA and work for a commercial cleaning company. I come from a family of 9 children, and love my extended family very much. I served in the Idaho Army National Guard for 6 years, and in the middle of that tenure, I served a mission for the church. I served in Marilia, Brazil. My portuguese has deteriorated to the point of embarresement, but I'm sure happy to have served!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. My parents were members, their parents were members, back 4 or 5 generations. Some may think that that means I didn't "choose" to be a mormon, that I was just born into it. However, I see it as the opposite. My parents always taught me what they felt was right, but they were also very good about allowing me to have my agency and choose for myself. Well, I chose for myself. I have felt time and time again the Holy Ghost whisper to me that this is the church of Christ. I could not deny it even in my younger years, and I can't deny it today.

How I live my faith

I am a Bishop of the local congregation. My church service is voluntary and is not paid. I have a full time job as a manager for a janitorial company. Just because I am not financially compensated for my church service, however, doesn't mean that I am not compensated in blessings. Heavenly Father cares about His children. When those children serve Him in His church, He takes care of them. I can testify of that truth.
