Hi I'm Dan Carter

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 65-year-old great-grandfather who works with computers and who loves dogs. In our rural home my wife and I enjoy the peace and quiet of country life.

Why I am a Mormon

After a lifetime of thinking and studying about religious matters I finally studied the LDS belief system in detail, and I found it agreed with lessons life and my studies had taught me. Mormon doctrine pulled together those life lessons and things I had not yet thought about. I knew that I wanted to convert when I found myself preaching his own gospel back to a missionary. Since conversion I have been as active in the Church as I could, and it has brought me a sense of peace and contentment that I have never known. The practical nature of the Church activities has given my life real meaning and substance.

How I live my faith

I have been called as a ward missionary, and I have home teaching assignments as well. These mean that I work in the church by visiting families, both active and inactive, to teach lessons from the Gospel, to help and counsel as needed, and to ensure that the families are healthy and happy in Christ. Our Church esteems good works and service, and so I am always on the lookout for ways I can help. In this way I can foster and reinforce the sense of community, support, and brotherhood that membership in our Church brings.
