Hi I'm Arianne

I'm an amateur photographer, a music lover, a busy history student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently, I am a sophomore in college, studying to be a high school social studies teacher! I love learning about different cultures and political structures. One culture that I have grown to adore is French culture! I began studying the language in high school and continued in college. I hope to go to France to study abroad in the next couple of years. When I am not in class, I love to get out and be active. I love exercise and what it can do to relieve stress and make a happier me! I love to run (even though I am not very fast), do yoga, dance, lift weights, and hike. Another stress reliever for me is art. I love music, and have learned the piano and a little guitar. I also have recently become very interested in photography and it's ability to make a statement without using words.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because it brings me joy. Through growing up in the LDS church and in a very religious home, I came to know of the gospel's truth at a young age. As I've gotten older, the knowledge of these truths has gotten stronger and stronger. I will be the first to admit that sometimes I stumble and sometimes I am tempted, but I know that Heavenly Father always will love me. The happiness that has filled my life is a huge blessing. A blessing that I know is from God. My life has proved to me that true, lasting happiness comes from following Christ.

How I live my faith

Each Sunday, I go to church to participate in sacrament meeting and church classes with my family. In the past, I have been a church choir director and lead the music for the Sunday meetings. I loved this calling because it gave me the opportunity to share my hobby with others. Though Sunday is a special day to worship Heavenly Father, I practice my faith everyday. I love to listen to leaders of our church speak in the Mormon Messages. I also try to make a habit of daily scripture study and frequent prayer. I feel that I share my faith with others throughout the week by trying to be positive and uplifting.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Arianne
The best way to know that the gospel is true is through prayer. Study the Book of Mormon and gospel teachings. Ask Heavenly Father if it is true. Listen and feel for the response of the Holy Ghost, which can testify of the truthfulness of the gospel by bringing you knowledge, peace, comfort, and joy.
