Hi I'm Zachary Brian Peterson
I'm a Mormon. I am a born in the covenant member from Utah. I am now a missionary in the Philippines Quezon City North Mission.
About me... Well right now I am a missionary for the Philippines Quezon City Mission. I started my mission in March of 2010 and end February 23rd 2012. Before I came on my mission I was a snowboard instructor for 3 years. I love helping people with things. Especially helping them come to know something that brings me joy in life. That's why I was a snowboard instructor and why I am on my mission right now. Before the mission I did not go to college. And now am wishing I had ha ha. As for interests, am very interested in cars and motorcycles. I love working on them and driving/ridding them. Also I love just being outside doing something such as swimming, skateboarding, snowboarding, rock climbing, and so forth. I guess i really just like things that get your adrenaline going. Also my family is a HUGE part in my life. I have a fairly large extended family. Starting with the grandparents, they had 8 children. Than there are something like 30+ grandchildren and more than 40 great grand kids. That is only on my fathers side of the family. Its about the same on my mom's side but not quite as many. I am super good friends with all of them. I consider them all my good friends. I love them so much and I don't know where I would be without them. Well that's about it...
Why I am a Mormon
Well, I am a born in the covenant member of the church. So I have been going to church since before I can remember. So as for an awesome conversion story I don't really have one. At least there are no Full time missionaries in my conversion story. But what I do have is a re-conversion story. It all started around January of 2008. All of my friends were going, or getting ready to go on their missions. At the time I was not really active in the church. Although I was at church almost every week I did not know why I was there. I also was not following quite a few of the commandments. My so called "friends" were not the best influence in my life. I am so thankful to my parents to teach me well when I was little -and well the fear of hearing from them if i didn't go to church ha ha- that I never actually left the church. One of my friends mom had a huge impact on my "re-conversion". Whenever we were over there she would ask us all how the preparation for the mission was going. I hate to say it but I lied to her and told her it was "going good". But at the time I had no desire at all to serve a mission. I am so thankful for my real friends and their good example to me. Without them I would not be where I am today. Through their examples and persistence to ask me how my preparation to go on a mission was going, I gained to desire to know why anyone would actually want to serve a mission. I decided to find out for myself. So I decided to read the Book of Mormon for myself, than after I had read a little bit I prayed to know of the truthfulness of it like Moroni says in Moroni 10:3-5. I received my answer and I will never deny these things. I know that they are true! I want everyone to know, that's why I am on my mission!
How I live my faith
Right now . ha ha on my mission. I share what know with the people I meet. I had numerous callings in the priesthood when i was growing up. They helped me a lot more than I ever thought that they would. Especially here on the mission.
