Hi I'm Brian

I'm a life long Washington resident and love the Northwest. My family is wonderful and is the center of my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family and I are always on the go. We are not "great" at any one thing; we just love to be out "doing". I met my wife on a chilly January day 13 years ago in college, she capture my heart that day. We enjoy trying new things and epically new restaurants. A recent date night we had consisted of going to multiple Tai restaurants and trying their spring rolls. That’s it… just the spring rolls. We had a blast. We are parents of four "lively" children that light up our lives. Our oldest is just starting the scouting program and I look forward to many nights camping with him. Parenthood is the best gift that has been given to me, but is also the most frustrating and the one that requires the most attention in life. I've found that the valuable lessons I experienced in life that shaped me, really weren't for me. They only really prepared me to effectively teach my children. I've realized that teaching my children righteous principals is more important and valuable in life. These are the things that have eternal rewards.

Why I am a Mormon

There is no greater feeling in life than to move forward with conviction and purpose. The world around us has a totally different perspective when we have an absolute knowledge that the direction we are heading is intended for us. I find that I have more confidence in the choices I make when leading my family through life. Why am I a Mormon? Because I have felt the promptings of the Spirit confirm to me of my relationship with Heavenly Father. I have felt the Spirit testify of my Savoir Jesus Christ and His role as Redeemer of the world.

How I live my faith

Christ was the only perfect man to walk this earth. Perfection in a person is not achieved by what you do or how you act... but rather who have you become. Christ healed the sick and performed miracles because He was full of love for all mankind. He had become the person our Father in Heaven wanted Him to become. That's what my direction is in life. Are my actions drawing me closer to my Savior and getting me closer to reaching my potential as a son of God? Or am I distancing myself from Them? There are plenty of opportunities to reach out and help our neighbors. I find that I am a better person, a better husband and a better father when I sacrifice a little of my time to show some support for others and lighten the load of others when their burden are heavy. I have had the opportunities to work with the youth in our Church and see them overcome challenges and build their faith as they rely on the Savior to help them. I’ve been able to visit with various families and build a lasting friendship as we’ve shared times of joy as well as times of sorrow. I’ve felt the love of my Savior being shown through others as they have support my family during times of trials and adversity.
