Hi I'm Amy

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Oceanside, CA. I teach Elementary school.

About Me

I love sports and anything outdoors. I also enjoy drawing, and photography. I am an elementary school teacher. I love my job. I got married last September!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but when I was 7 I prayed to find out for myself if I believed it was God's church, and I received a peaceful answer for myself. I was baptized when I was 8. I still remember my baptismal interview, and being asked if I believed in Joseph Smith as a prophet, and if I sustained our current church leaders, and if I believed the Book of Mormon was the word of God, and if I believed this was Christ's Church. I remember being able to answer those questions confidently and then feeling again the peaceful comfort of the Holy Spirit reasuring me that it was true. I am so thankful for the answers I have been able to receive from the Holy Ghost, and for knowing that I am a child of God, and that he hears and answers my prayers. I have never regretted being baptized, it was one of the best days of my life. I have since been able to make further covenants with my Heavenly Father in his holy temples, as well as serve a mission. Every covenant I have been blessed to make has only given me more comfort and strength, and helped me to grow that much closer to my Savior and my Father in Heaven. That is why I am a Christian, a Mormon, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I know it is true and it helps me to be closer to my God.

How I live my faith

I am blessed to be able to attend the temple often, I also love to Visit Teach and serve in callings. I loved serving in the temple until I recently moved, and now am to far away from one to be able to. I also love being able to talk with others about their faith in God and to answer any questions they may have of the gospel. I try to live the gospel standards where ever I go and I try to be aware of opportunities to give service to others around me.
