Hi I'm Seth Baker

Father of 3, Certified Public Accountant, a Denver Sports fan, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up as a member of the church all of my life. I served a mission in Spokane, WA. I attended Brigham Young University-Idaho. I married the love of my life in the St. George temple. We moved to Denver after school where I decided to continue my education at the University of Denver where I recieved a Masters Degree in Taxation. I have worked for 5 years in public accounting as a CPA. I hope to one day have my own tax practice. I love Colorado because of the beautiful weather and of the many things to do outdoors. My family and I love to hike, camp, run, play sports, and just being as active as we can. We have a tradition of running in the Bolder Boulder each year (10K run with 50,000+ runners) as a family. I coach my son's baseball and basketball teams, I also enjoy being an umpire for baseball in the summers and a referee for basketball in the winter for youth leagues.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know it to be the true church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Even though I was born in the church, I have come to know for myself through multiple spiritual experiences that He has restored His church today through modern day prophets. Being a Mormon brings me great blessings, namely the knowledge that I will be together forever with my beloved wife, my son, and two beautiful daughters as long as we strive to qualify for this great blessing.

How I live my faith

I strive to do the simple things such as read from the Book of Mormon daily, say my personal and family prayers, attend the temple often, and to help those around me. Each Sunday my family and I attend church and I teach my son's 7 year old primary class. These things strengthen my testimony and brings me great peace despite life's challenges.
