Hi I'm Janice

I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, teacher, runner I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and stay at home mom of 7 children. I enjoy learning new things, doing things outdoors, running, reading. I enjoy weekly date nights with my husband and doing things as a family. I like to volunteer in the community, attending all my childrens activies, and challenging myself to do and accomplish things. I enjoy the quiet time that I have in the mornings before everyone is awake to reflect and get ready for the day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in eternal life and eternal families. I am thankful to be part of a church where the family is central, a church that has taught me that there is a plan and way to return home to live with my Heavenly Father, a church that has taught me that I can repent and be made clean through the atoning sacrafice of my Savior Jesus Christ. Often times I hear in the world of people being lost or not knowing what the purpose of life is. I do not doubt that I have been sent here with a specific purpose and that there is a plan for each of us, I know that I am a daughter of God who loves me and knows my individual strengths and needs. I am a Mormon because I believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. As a Mormon, I am strengthened to become a better person, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend. I used to think that there was no "map" for life, but there is! That map is found in the Holy Bible, The Book of Mormon and through words of the prophets.

How I live my faith

For the first several years of marriage I have served in the church with the children ages 18 monthes-12 yrs. old...which I loved! I also have served in cub scouts, and now am serving as a early morning seminary teacher, visiting teacher, and Sunbeam teacher. Twice a week I get to get up and serve the youth in this area by teaching seminary. It has been one of my favorite callings. There is something special about getting up early in the morning and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to these faithful youth! Sundays I enjoy teaching Sunbeams (3-4 yr. old) at church. Their eagerness to learn the simple gospel truths inspires me to be anxiously engaged in learning and studying the gospel. Mostly I try to live my faith by being a good example. I hope that as I come into contact with people in my life and community that I will be able to represent my Savior and the joy that the gospel brings into my life and the lives of my family.
