Hi I'm Erica

I am the pioneer of my family. I love making all kinds of crafts. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a customer service manager. I love helping people and resolving issues. Being outside to admire a sunset or flowers is one of my favorite things. I enjoy the little things. Making crafts of all kinds brings out my talents and gives me joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the undeniable spirit that I felt when my husband first told me about the Church, to the first time the missionaries taught me, to the testimony I have today. My husband wasn't an active member when we first started dating but shared the simple truth that Families Can Be Together Forever on one of our first dates. That really stayed with me and I started taking discussions about 9 months later. I was baptized about 5 months after that and got a calling right into Primary. It was the perfect place for me to be to learn the simple principles and stories right along with the kids. After almost 2 1/2 years with them I got called into Relief Society with the women. Now I am the 2nd counselor in Relief Society and am in charge of planning all the fun activities among other things for our ward. I love the Church. I love the comfort it brings me and how it makes me whole. I know my family can be together forever no matter what hardships we face now and that brings me peace. I know my Heavenly Father is aware of me and hears my prayers. I know Joseph Smith was a true Prophet of God and he restored the priesthood to the Earth for our benefit. I know that Thomas S Monson is a prophet today. Lastly, I know that our Heavenly Father loves each of us unconditionally and wants nothing more than for all of us to be with him again someday.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying day in, day out to make the best choices. I live the Word of Wisdom but not drinking alcohol, not smoking and trying to take care of my body. I visit the sisters I am assigned to every month just to check up, take a little present, and see if there is any way I can help them. I also meet with the presidency of our women's group (Relief Society) once a week and we plan activities for the sisters, identify any needs and work together to make sure everyone is taken care of. I have started learning to can and am growing my food storage so we can be best prepared if a disaster was to happen. I am a wife and do the best I can to be a good example to my husband and read my scriptures and pray daily.

How does the Church finance its operations?

This is the Lord's church--- he asks us to give one-tenth of our increase and we are so blessed when we do. The whole church is ran without anyone in any sort of leadership getting paid and all the money goes to build church buildings, temples, amazing amounts of disaster relief around the world and so much more.
