Hi I'm Drew

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 21 years to a wondeful woman. I am a father of 4 boys. I have lived in the Great Salt Lake Valley in Utah my whole life. I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints my whole life. I served a full time mission for the Church in New York and New Jersey. My oldest son is currently serving a full time mission for the Church in Washington State. I am a graduate of BYU.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church and lived in a famlily that was active in the church. I participated in all the youth programs and attened church every week. When it came time for me to be called to serve a mission for the Church I knew it was the right thing to do. I accepted the mission call to serve in the New York New York mission. While I was in the Missionary Training Center (MTC) Prepareing for missionary service I had an experiance that has shaped the rest of my life. It was while in the MTC that I learned for my self that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the only true church on earth. This knowledge came from the reading and study of the Book of Mormon and the witness that came to me from the Holy Spirit. From that moment on I have never wavered as to the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon or the Gospel of Jesus Christ as restored by Joseph Smith. There is no greater happiness that can be found in this life than having the knowledge of the tue gospel of Jesus Christ and knowing the plan of happiness that He has created for us. This knowledge provides perspective and meaning to my life and has shaped everything about how I live and interact with others.

How I live my faith

As a memeber of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I have had many opprotunities to serve others. I have been a Scout Master, President of a preisthood organization, Executive Secritary, Financial clerk along with many other opprotunities to serve others. These positions of responsibility required me to spend 5 to 10 hours a week in volinteer service. I am currently serving as a Scout Committee chairman and I am also responsible to help maintain our church building in good condition. I have also been assigned to visit at least once each month two families in my congregation. A prophet of God once taught that if you are in the serivce of your fellow beings you are in the service of your God. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has it's greatest impact in my own home. As a family we read the scriptures and have family prayer. As a family we are careful about what we watch on TV and where we go on the internet we are careful about the words we use and the attitude we have. We look for ways to serve others and make our community a beter place. We strive to keep our home a place of peace and harmony.
