Hi I'm Dane P.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors, including most water sports. I love to explore new places, whether its out of the country or just around my neighborhood. I enjoy spending my time with my friends and family and serving others where I can. I went to law school after college and am now an attorney.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because one night I got down on my knees and prayed to know if the Book of Mormon was true. I knew in that moment what I had previously only believed, that the Book of Mormon contains the word of God, and that by living by its precepts I would draw closer to him. I knew then that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was His church. I continue to be a Mormon because I know that we have a prophet and apostles that guide Christ's church in these modern days and that by living according to their counsel and the commandments as found in the scriptures I am a happier and more successful individual.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in my church calling, serving others whenever the opportunity presents itself, and obeying the commandments as best I can, and repenting when I fall short. Mostly, I just try to live according to the greatest example of all, Jesus Christ.

Are Mormons Christians?

Dane P.
Jesus Christ is the head of our church and the center of our faith. Mormons know that it is only through the sacrifice and atonement of Jesus Christ that we can one day return to live in his and the Father's presence. Mormons are Christians because they believe in, testify of, and aspire to follow Jesus Christ in everything they say and do. Show more Show less
