Hi I'm Greg

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family was first introduced to the Church in Wilmington, Delaware. I have been a member of the Church since I was 10 years old. I served a full-time mission in Central America during 1977 through 1979. I earned a bachelors and masters degree from the University of Delaware and a PhD from Louisiana State University. I started my career teaching climatology at the University of Memphis in 1986. In 1988 I started work as a climatologist for the U.S. Geological Survey in New Jersey and in 1991 I was transferred to Denver, Colorado where I still live and work today. My wife and I were married in the Washington D.C. temple and we have 4 children (2 daughters and 2 sons). Our sons served full-time missions for the Church and all of our children are married and have children of their own.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have received a witness by the Spirit that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true and completely restored Church of Jesus Christ. I have never doubted my decision to join the Church. I have had many experiences that have confirmed and re-confirmed the truthfulness of the gospel to me, and I am so grateful the have the belssings of the gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

My wife and children have always been very active in the Church and its programs. We have served in many positions in the Church and have seen the Church and the members of the Church bless the lives of many people. We have had many opportunities to serve and feel that we always receive more than we give. some of the service opportunities that we have had include teaching the youth of the Church, serving in administrative positions, and regularly visiting and helping members that live in our local area.
