Hi I'm Rebecca

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a PhD student in history, I love learning about everything. I'm always asking questions. I also love music. When I'm not reading or writing a paper, I'm playing the piano. Mostly, I love being with my family. My family is my inspiration and my joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love and am always seeking after the truth. The Gospel of Jesus Christ encompasses all truth. Intellectual reasoning alone does not confirm truth. It must be felt and is manifested to those who have a sincere desire to know and act upon true principles. One of my favorite scriptures is found in Doctrine and Covenants 93:24. "And truth is knowledge of things as they are, and as they were, and as they are to come." I have come to know and recognize truth by praying to my Heavenly Father. Through the Holy Ghost I have come to know of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and subsequently "the truth of all things" (Moroni 10: 5).

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending my church meetings and by trying to live my beliefs each day. I strive to live the thirteenth Article of Faith which states: "We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul--We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things."
