Hi I'm Ricci

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 4 children. I have a daughter in high school, a son in middle school, and a daughter and son in elementary school. When I am not running in 20 different directions, I love to scrapbook, read, play games. I like to cook when its not a million degrees outside. Since my children are in school all day, I am trying to find a job that will let me be home when the kids get home, and one that I can be off in the summer. Since I am not a teacher and probably never will be, it will be tough!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all my life. Growing up in the church gives you a great base as to what your life should be like. But I don't think I was truly converted until we moved out of the state of Utah. That was 6 years ago. My life was pretty mainstream, when we moved I was out of my comfort zone. I had no family around me. I had to rely on myself to make a life for me & my family. Knowing the church is the same where ever you go is not exactly true. As a mormon in Utah, I took for granted all I had around me. I didn't rely on my ward family. That is what has made the difference for me. It made me strengthen my own testimony, I learned I couldn't rely on my mom or dad's testimony. I took for granted the closeness of the temples. I had 3 temples within 30 miles of my house. I have gone more to the Mesa temple, and it is 50 miles away. I am also grateful we have a guideline to teach our children. Of course we have the right to choose, but it is nice to be able to tell our children what wonderful blessings they will receive if they choose the right paths.

How I live my faith

I have had many different callings in the church. I have taught the children, I have taught the women, I have been in charge of organizing meals for the sisters who have had babies. I have organized a funeral. I have been and am a visiting teacher.
