Hi I'm Lynette

I have been a truck stop waitress, daycare provider and Optometric Technician. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Wife, Mom, Grandma, and an Optometric Technician. I love to hike, bike, exercise, read, garden, traveling and nature. I was raised by a single father, learned a strong work ethic and am very patriotic.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel answers all the questions that have perplexed me. Knowing who I am, where I have come from and where I am going brings a sense of peace that is priceless. Knowing that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me so much that He gave His Only Begotten Son to suffer for all of my sins, my pains and my heartaches is so overwhelming and yet uplifting. Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father know me by name, they love me and they believe in me when no one else does. There is power in knowing, there is peace in knowing. The church is all about a personal relationship with Deity, about being and becoming who we are meant to be. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be like Jesus. In studying the scriptures I learn more about and of my Savior who died and suffered on my behalf. I learn more about how I should act, how I should not act. I learn about love, about real joy. As I attend my meetings, teach the youth, read the scriptures on my own and with my family, listen to the hymns, serve others in various arenas, and even in my study about the world, I learn more about life and where I fit in and how I can do my part. President Hinckley wrote an article about the symbol of our faith, we actually live our faith and that is the symbol of our faith; to talk the talk, but more importantly to walk the walk.
