Hi I'm Sara

I'm a daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother and friend. I try my best to raise my kids to value eduaction, respect others, work hard, play hard and laugh. I enjoy working along side my husband caring for the house, working on projects, raising our children, and having fun together. I also enjoy time reading, creating (crafts, art, sewing) and cooking good food.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I took time to know for myself whether what I was being taught and what I was reading in the Book of Mormon was true. As a teenager I remember thinking through what I was learning in Sunday School and Seminary and wanted I wanted to know for myself. One afternoon after finishing the Book of Mormon I recall praying to know if what I had been taught all my life was true. It is difficult to explain the answer I received. As I prayed I felt an uncomparable peace in my heart and I knew it was God's answer to my prayer. I continue to reflect on the teachings of the Gospel and the words of the living prophet, Thomas S. Monson. I know I will receive answers to my prayers if I ask earnestly and in faith.

How I live my faith

It is important to me to live what I believe. Being kind to others, saying, "thank you", sharing a smile or listening to others in addition to striving to pray daily and read the Bible or Book of Mormon daily. I feel theses things bring peace to my life and clarity of thought and purpose. I strive to live a Christ-like life. When I make mistakes I do my best to correct them, apologize and try to do better. I enjoy serving as a Nursery Leader in our congregation. Teaching them the basics of the Gospel reminds me of God's love for each of us individually. By volunteering in the classroom at our neighboorhood school and in the Parent Teacher Association I find joy in help children learn and grow in a positive environment.
