Hi I'm Pat

I love to learn and get to know others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm happily married and a father of five. I'm also a career member of the U.S. Air Force. My hobbies include woodworking and all types of outdoor activities, such as hiking, camping, fishing, canoeing, etc.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I feel it truly is God's church. I grew up in a Mormon household, but our family went through various stages of activity and involvement while I growing up. Shortly after leaving home and getting married, my wife and I had to decide what religion, if any, we were going to follow. After thought and consideration we determined we should continue to follow the religion we both grew up practicing...the Mormon religion. We've never regretted that decision. As we've lived our religion over the years we've drawn closer to our Father in Heaven and our Saviour Jesus Christ. Our religion has been an anchor in our lives and has made all the difference as we've raised our children. I hate to think how our lives might have turned out without the influence of the Gospel in our lives.

How I live my faith

I try to live my religion fully. I not only apply its teachings and principles in my personal live by doing things like regularly reading the scriptures and praying, but also by being active in Church activities and making contributions where I can. I have spent most of my adult life working with our youth organizations in one capacity or another. Currently I'm an advisor to our youth group and a Boy Scout leader. It's quite gratifying to see the positive influence youth programs have on the young people of our Church. The ones that are happiest and the most self-confident are those that live their religion and are involved in it's programs and activities. It's amazing to see the influence the Gospel can have on people of all ages.
