Hi I'm Patsy Putnam

I'm a Mormon. I awas baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1966, and that was the best decision ever!

About Me

I am in my mid 60's, and have 4 sons and 9 daughters, and 45 grandchildren! My husband and I have thoroughly been blessed in these 45 years since we learned of this church. I love doing genealogy and have amassed a huge database of my family, both descendants, and ancestors, and collateral lines (cousin relationships) and have learned a lot about our roots! My career choice was that of being a full time mother, and wife, though I have also pursued a part time career in real estate, being the managing broker for my own company. I especially enjoy working with clients who have a similar commitment to the Lord, as I know when I pray about them, they will get the same answers from their prayers! Since all my children are now grown and having their own families and are furthering their own education and careers, I have more time now than I used to when they were at home. This also allows me to enjoy and build on my relaationships with my grandchildren one on one as opportunities allow. I have a motto with my grandchildren that Grandma gets "Hugs on demand" and they are usually willing to oblige! When things get a little bit chaotic, I have coined a motto which helps me through it. I say, "Once you lose your sanity you don't even miss it. You may notice it, but I don't. I feel fine!" I find a sense of humor is absolutely critical, almost as important as my faith, in dealing with life's challenges!

Why I am a Mormon

I love the closeness and brotherhood and sisterhood I find in the Mormon church! I love my sisters in Relief Society, and pray for their success and for their families! My greatest blessings have come through the prayers and blessings of others in my behalf when my life experiences serious bumps in the road! It is nice to be able to share my struggles with others one on one and know that what I say doesn't go any further! They keep my confidences and I keep theirs! It is nice to have such good friends, that I find they are really my family, not just good friends! I find great strength in remembering my covenants, and reliving those commitments every time I go to vsit the temple again! It strengthens me to remember the many answers to my prayers I have received in the temple and even just sitting in Sacrament meetings and having my answers given through the inspiration of what others say in their words from the pulpit. It has been a great joy to watch my children grow up and become good parents, and to see the joy I feel being taught to their children and another generation is growing to learn of my Savior also! We have 2 grandsons already who have been called to serve as full time missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! That brings me great joy!

How I live my faith

I have loved serving in my ward and stake and sharing the testimony I have gained by teaching at all ages-the chilren from 3 to 12 Primary and young women and scout aged boys 12-18 years of age, and the women of my ward in the Relief Society. I have come to feel confidence in my skills and testimony, and in the principals I understand and live by. This has been a big blessing in my life and the lives of my family. Joining the church in 1966 was the best decision we ever made! I love it!
