Hi I'm Clint Waite

I'm a Mormon who lives in Parker Colorado. I've been married for over 25 years and have 5 children

About Me

I like to spend time with my family. We play in the yard a lot. We raise a garden, chickens, goats. We also like to jump on the trampoline and ride a zip line we built in the yard. I own a business called Best Practice Systems, Inc. I have been the president of Best Practice Systems for 11 years. Before starting Best Practice Systems, I started a Call Center called Canicom which I sold to Protocol Communications in 2000. I like most outdoor activities like camping, bike, river rafting, and sailing.

Why I am a Mormon

One of the greatest blessing that I have in life is that I know why I am here on earth, where I came from, and where I can go after this life if I live worthily. Having this knowledge gives my life great perspective and consequently great meaning. I know that all of us have a divine heritage and that our Heavenly Father is truly our spirit Father. He wants more than anything for us to return to him and live with him for eternity. Being a member of the Mormon church also gives me the opportunity to go to and LDS temple and be married for time and eternity. This means that my best friend and wife (Shelly Waite) can be sealed be together for ever. Yes I know that things last beyond this life: family relationships, friendships, our resurrected physical bodies, our thoughts, desires, personalities, and motivations. I understand that trials in this life are for our good. They may not be pleasant or comfortable but they cause us to grow. I am so grateful for this knowledge and especially for Jesus Christ who atoned for our sins that we can be resurrected and live with Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is not easy or convenient but I wouldn't change it for anything. There is no paid clergy so we all participate in the workings of the church. I am the young men's president and I am in charge of the youth program. We meet every Wednesday night and do fun activities which are appealing to the youth but also teach them principles and skills for life. This Summer was very busy. We organized a scout camp, high adventure, and a 21 mile trek. We've also gone waterskiing, biking, and canoeing. Every month we have a youth dance where kids from around the Region meet and socialize. I take my family to church every Sunday. At church we partake of the sacrament and go to Sunday School class. We read the scriptures and pray together as a family every night. Before we all go off to work and school in the morning we kneel down together and pray. Our family life is centered around the gospel of christ. We are definately not a perfect family but we try and keep the sabbath day holy, see uplifting movies, listen to good music, ready good books, and hold family home evening (FHE) weekly. FHE is where we set aside a night each week to be together as a family and either have a lesson or go and do something fun together. Basically it is a time to spend together just as a family. Living my faith is not just a Sunday activity. It is an entire lifestyle. It is a lifestyle that has brought our family much peace and happiness.
