Hi I'm Jenny

I grew up in Canada. I'm the youngest of ten children. I love to sing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a new mom to a little boy and spend most of my time with him. I love singing and have been involved in many choirs, musicals, and mini-concerts. I love spending time with my husband when he's not busy studying for school. We like playing games, going on long walks, and just being together.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because when I attend church, or the temple, or have family home evening with my new son, I feel the holy ghost testify to me that what I'm doing is right. I feel the peace and love that comes with living the gospel and I have that confirmation, through the holy ghost, when I'm following the Lords teachings.

How I live my faith

At church I live my faith by teaching the young women. Through faith and the spirit I am there to help the young women to progress into becoming women worthy of the temple and it's covenants. The young women's motto that I try to encourage them to follow is "Stand for truth and righteousness". I know that as I am guided by the spirit that the youth I serve will also be guided by and feel the spirit in their hearts.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Jenny
A testimony is having a spiritual confirmation by the holy ghost that something unseen is true. I have a testimony of my Heavenly Father, that he lives and loves me. I have a testimony that Jesus lives and that he is the son of God who died for us so that we may repent of our sins and live with him again. I have a testimony of Joseph Smith, that he is a prophet of of God come to restore the true church on earth. I have a testimony of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, that it is the one true church on this earth today. Show more Show less
