Hi I'm Rich

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Golden, Colorado, where I met my wife of 42yrs. We went to High School together, later married.

About Me

I am retired, but soon to serve a working mission at a Churh cannery. I made beverage cans for a living, both in this country and abroad. I'm an artist, working in oils and have sold quite a few paintings. My work background is mechanical, which seems strange to some people, that I am also an Artist. I tinker around with old cars, because the new ones are too dificult for me to understand. My wife and I have four children and eight grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church, because my wife said it's the only way she'd marry me. Through the years I have gained a personal testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel. I enjoy serving others, and being of help to those in need. I've been able to give priesthood blessings to my children, wife, inlaws and a lot of other people in the Church. Giving them a blessing has been a blessing in my life. I've been able to baptize each of my children and confer the priesthood on my sons. I currently serve in a position in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and try to do a good job at my calling. I am surronded by wonderful talented members, who are an inspiration to me. My greatest inspiration comes from the Savior and my wife is a great example for me. My family is the most important thing in my life and I love each and every one of them, for what they are. Two of my sons are inactive, but productive workers and good providers for their families. I enjoy their company and I think they enjoy mine.

How I live my faith

I serve a calling, which allows me to be a leader, which is something I'm not too good at, but I try. I think the members I serve know that I care about them and their well being. I have a kind heart and try to see the best in people. It's a joy to serve with such great men and women as I do. I am not a good speaker, but have people around me that are, and are willing to be good teachers and leaders. I always feel like I should be doing more for people than I am. I think that's why I try to teach by example, always willing to be of service to someone else.
