Hi I'm Sharon

I'm a stay-at-home mom and love it. I love to knit, bake cookies and volunteer at my children's schools.

About Me

I grew up LDS and have lived in many places...my dad was in the Air Force. Was single for many years, then married my dear spouse and have been blessed by two children. As I said before, I love knitting and learning new patterns. I love to try new cookie recipes and everyone loves to be my testers. Some of my favorite things are evergreen trees, pansies and the Eiffel Tower. We have adopted an adult cat, Isabel, who now rules the house.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in the church, it centered my life. Everywhere I have lived, I only had to go to church to make new friends. My testimony keeps me going.

How I live my faith

My newest love at church is attending Sunday School classes. For many years I have been either working with the children or in the library, so was unable to attend them. I never realized how much I can learn by just attending the classes. This year we are learning things from the New Testiment, and while I thought I knew my scriptures, I have been excited to learn even more. As a family, we love getting together every Monday evening for "Family Night". We take turns doing lessons, preparing treats, doing activites and singing songs. The lessons could be as simple as "how to stack the pans in the cupboard" to ones learning more of the gospel. For us, the activites are usually playing games together.
