Hi I'm Haley

I am currently attending nursing school and will graduate in December 2011! I have been married for 2 years to a wonderful guy!

About Me

I was born into a mormon/LDS family which has brought me much happiness. I am one of 6 kids in my family. 5 girls and 1 boy...it was fun growing up. I am now married as of 2 years to thee greatest guy! I am almost done with nursing school and will graduate this December. I love the field of nursing and the idea of serving as my job. I love people, I love science, medicine and how the body works. I cannot wait to start working as an RN and finally put my hard efforts to work! My husband has just started nursing school this fall. Two nurses in one house...we'll have much to talk about! We look forward to having little ones run around and share the joy of this life with them. Some of my past time activities...when I do get time, are; painting, hiking, Salsa dancing, scrapbooking, traveling, and of course being with family. Painting is an outlet for me to relax and escape into my own little world. It gets much harder with school to find time. I've been salsa dancing for about 3 years now and it is so much fun. I'm trying to teach my husband now and he's catching on pretty good! I love, love being married. We have a strong relationship that grows in love and respect each day. I look forward to many more years with him!

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I am so blessed to have been born into a family and heritage who have been mormon. I was raised in a home with loving parents who taught us kids the doctrine of the gospel from a very young age. We had family home evening where we would gather and be taught about our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and the Plan of Salvation for us. We learned very quickly to love the Savior and to follow his teachings. I hardly remember missing any church. Maybe one or two from being ill. I attended seminary for youth everyday before school at 6am. These classes taught me about the scriptures and the prophets who remained faithful and righteous to bring us the gospel today. I am so thankful to have a prophet today who guides and directs us. In seminary, I believe this is where I first gained a testimony of this church for myself. We were challenged to pray and read and seek guidence. I did so, and I felt a strong confirmation that this church was true and that these words I read and studied were filled with power and guidence for my life. I remember when I was 12 or 13, I remember looking at a picture of one of our Temples and committing myself to never stray from this path. To dedicate myself, and my time to this gospel and my love for my Savior. From there I entered college and my testimony only grew stronger as I committed myself to staying true to myself and my standards. I truly believe, in fact, I know that this Church of JEsus Christ and it's teachings is why I have the peace and true joy in my life today. This is why I found such a wonderful husband who shares the same standards and perspective as I do. I continue to follow this gospel because I have felt the love of my Savior, I have begun to understand his great Atonment for us all and the miraculous gift that it is. I have had a confirmation from the Holy Ghost telling me that this is true and that there is only good to be found in this gospel and many blessings to come!

How I live my faith

Each day is a day to show those around me what the gospel means to me. I ache at the thought of missed opportunity and I know I've had many of them. I love to share the gospel, whether to those who are members of this church already or those who are not yet members. I feel it a pleasure and duty to tell all of what I know about the Savior, our Heavenly Father and thier plan for us. To build and strengthen families and communities to become one in mind and heart. I am blessed to have been called as a counselor in our Young Women's group. THis calling has allowed me to work with girls from ages 12-17. These girls are some of the most amazing girls who have strong minds and loving hearts. Our unity is strengthened when we gather each week for spiritual devotionals and activities. We as leaders are there to help the girls find self worth and feel the love of the Savior for them. THis program is also to help guide them in making important life decisions. This calling fills my life with joy and strengthenes my testimony of this church each week. I also participate in visiting teaching. Here we are divided into pairs and we go out and visit the women in our church boundaries. We are thier friends, thier one to lean on when times are hard, when a meal is needed, or a hug is the only cure for a sad heart. It is a privilage to get to know so many strong loving women who help to build this gospel. Most of all I try to life my faith in my everyday example. In the way I dress and talk, in the way I speak and serve. I want to emulate my Savior in every way I can. I am a disciple of Christ and I want to represent him and all the good that he is. I love my Savior and all that he does and gives to me. I know there is a great plan for us and among this plan are many blessings pouring out upon us.
