Hi I'm Brad

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have 6 children, 4 are married, and 6 grand children. I love to ride dirt bikes and listen to music. My collection covers a very broad and diversified spectrum but I'll have to admit that I'm a rocker at heart.

Why I am a Mormon

I dated a Mormon girl when I was just a kid. She said once that she belonged to God's true church. I thought that was about the most arrogant thing that I had ever heard. She invited me to meet with the missionaries and I thought it would be a good opportunity to expose the falseness of her religion. I thought it very odd that these missionaries were only my age. What could they know about God? How deep could their understanding of the eternities possibly be? I devoted my spare time to research using sources from both Mormons and anti-Mormons. They told me to read the Book of Mormon and pray to find out if it was true. I did that. I began to pray fervently that I would get an answer from God. I awoke one morning and had a strong and sure feeling that I should be baptised into this "new" church. It was strange to me and yet I knew that my prayer had been answered and that I should proceed. That's why I joined the church, but it's not why I'm a Mormon today. I am still a member because I have come to know that this church contains the most correct and complete doctrine of Jesus Christ on the earth today. By living the precepts taught in this church I have come much closer to my Heavenly Father. It has united and strengthened my family and continues to bless us with peace and joy.

How I live my faith

I have a leadership position associated with the older men in our church. Most of these men know more about the church, its doctrines and workings than I do and yet I have been called to lead them. What a humbling and growing experience. We work hard doing service projects, visiting the sick, the widows, the shut-ins. We direct the home teaching program which strenghtens and supports every family in our ward. We also work with the missionaries to help to bring the gospel to everyone that we can. I really wish people would just investigate our faith. It is such a rewarding and joy-giving faith.
