Hi I'm Megan

I'm a newlywed, a soon to be first time mom, a Colorado native, love music, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born and raised in Colorado, I've lived here my entire life except for 3 years when I moved to Las Vegas for graduate school. The last year has brought tremendous change and blessings into my life: I graduated from school, I got married, and we are expecting our first baby! I am a Physician Assistant, and my secret dream job if ever I couldn't work in medicine anymore would be to work in/own a bakery. I'm in the learning process, but I love to decorate cakes, and baking sweet treats is a guilty pleasure of mine. I love all things music. I play several instruments, including piano and organ, French horn, and trumpet, and am teaching myself violin. I also love to sing. I'm also teaching myself crochet, and eventually knitting. I love to try new things! I also enjoy being outdoors. I love to hike, camp, and go on long bike rides. I've climbed 3 of Colorado's "14ers", and hope to do more next summer after the baby is born. I have 2 furbabies, both with special needs: a dog, who is epileptic and needs daily medicine for his seizures, and a cat who has asthma and is allergic to fish! I am a cat lover at heart, and would have 10 more cats, if I only had the space for them all!

Why I am a Mormon

I was first introduced to the church by my grandmother around age 5. My father was an ex member, and my mother was a non-member. My grandparents took me to church every week, and I was baptized when I was 9. As I've continued in the church, I've served in many capacities, from ward organist, to primary teacher (I taught the 11-12 year olds for several years, and the 10 year olds), to nursery worker. I'm certainly not perfect. I'm a firm believer in the power of prayer, fasting, and tithes. I've witnessed blessings happen both in my life, and in the lives of those around me, when we follow these principles.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life in such a way that I can be a good example of church principles to those around me. It's not always easy, but I enjoy the blessings I receive by being obedient.
