Hi I'm John

I'm a Mormon. I was born in Utah, and raised in the Denver, CO area.

About Me

My wife and I have been married since 1968, we have 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren. I play golf and have had 2 holes in one? I enjoy spending time with my children and their children. I am extremely proud of my kids and what they represent. I have spent most of my adult life as a sales professional and am currently semi-retired.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon church and raised to love the teachings of Christ. Without his Atonement, we would be left to wander in darkness. I have a testimony of Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon, that Joseph Smith was a true Prophet of God brought forth to restore the true Gospel in these later days and that Thomas S Monson is the current Prophet directing the affairs of God's true Church on the Earth. The Gospel of Jesus Christ provides me with great peace in a world of troubled times.

How I live my faith

I am a counselor in the Stake Sunday School Presidency and also teach in Sunday meetings. I have been active with the Boy Scouts of America for more than 30 years and enjoy seeing the young men advance and develop. I like to visit with the assigned families via Home Teaching and enjoy the spirit that I feel in their homes.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Whenever I am outside enjoying nature and the beauty that surrounds us, I know that these did not happen by accident and that there is a Supreme Being that created that beauty for our enjoyment. To look into the eyes of a newborn baby and understand the miracle that is the creation of life is to receive confirmation again that we were created not by some happenstance but by our Father in Heaven. All things around us denote that there is a God and that all things move according to the laws of Heaven and our Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
