Hi I'm Laura

I have three daughters. One day I will teach them to play extreme sports just like me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love a challenge. My first challenge was skydiving then wakeboarding and snowboarding. Next came rock climbing then swimming, cycling and running. Now I have graduated to the most challenging of all - being a mom. I have three beautiful, smart, and very active girls. My oldest started kindergarten this year. I love doing reading lessons with her every day. My three year old will do a head stand on top of anything and my 22 month old will wave at you and yell "hi" as loud as she can when you drive by. I am teaching them that they are daughters of god, that there bodies are sacred. They know to be modest and treat themselves and others with respect because everyone else is a son or daughter of God as well. Soon I will also teach them how to overcome challenges in life, especially the really fun ones.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I feel the influence of the Holy Ghost in my life everyday. Last week, on a long run I felt I should take my phone out of my pack. I found it had stopped working. I restarted it and got a message from my husband. After, being gone almost two hours longer then he expected he was ready to send out a search party. I told him I was okay. I am a mormon because I have prayed and asked my Heavenly Father if Jesus Christ really did suffer for my sins and die for me, if the Book of Mormon was written by prophets of God who testified of Christ and were witnesses of him. I asked if Joseph Smith really saw Him and Jesus Christ and if that same Joseph Smith really translated the Gold Plates into The book of Mormon. I am a Mormon because the answer is yes. I felt that answer with my whole heart and my entire being. I am a Mormon because it is true... and I love it!

How I live my faith

On Sunday I teach the children in our ward new songs and games. I think I have the best calling in the church because each week I get to plan fun games to play that will capture the attention of the children and help them learn songs that will give them courage, increase there knowledge of the gospel and strengthen their faith. I make sure I eat right and follow the word of wisdom this has helped me more in my life then words can say. I have never been enslaved by addiction because the scriptures have told me what is good to eat and what is bad. I made sure I married someone who would never look at pornography. He respects me and because of that we can have a very sacred and inimate relationship. We kept ourselves clean and pure so that we could be married in the temple and create a family that death can not part. We were sealed together and so we will be together again. I read the scriptures, pray, go to church on sunday and strive to do the things I know are right. I know that I have been blessed so greatly in my life because of the righteous choices I have made.
