Hi I'm Susan

I'm a Mormon - a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I am the third child of six children (four sisters and one brother) and was baptized when I was eight years old. I grew up in the Church and was taught about the gospel at home and at church. I graduated from college with a degree in Office Management and have worked all my adult life. I am single; in fact, I'm the only sibling who has never married. I'm very much interested in Musical Theater and have traveled with friends several times to the United Kingdom (London) to follow a particular performer. One of my all-time favorite books that I read was Les Miserables.

Why I am a Mormon

When growing up in the Church, you lean on the testimony of your family, but you need to develop your own so that when you are away from home you can depend on the strength of your own testimony. I do have a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and know that I am where he wants me to be. It gives me a firm foundation knowing why I am here on earth and what the future holds for me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best person that I can be - not that I am perfect in any way and do make mistakes. Knowing that I am a child of my Heavenly Father makes me want to do those things that would please him. The best way to live my faith is to help others. I attend church services every Sunday to gain strength from others who believe the same way that I do and to be inspired and encouraged by those who give talks on various gospel subjects. I play the piano for the women's organization which I enjoy and have been a teacher in the Young Women's program and also Sunday School. I say daily prayers morning and night and try to read my scriptures daily but don't always succeed in doing that. What is great about the gospel is that you can repent and do better each day. Reading the scriptures and praying to my Heavenly Father helps to draw me closer to him and to feel His spirit.
