Hi I'm Melania.

I was born in the Philippines and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married to my husband for 27 years and we have four children. I'm currently a teacher's assistant working with severely handicapped preschool children. My hobbies including gardening and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the LDS church in 1979 because of the example of my mother and two older sisters. They were always happy and I knew that it was because of their decision to join the LDS church. So, when the missionaries came to my house again and taught me the lesson, I accepted their invitation to be baptized. The choice that I made back then have been one of the most important choices in my life. My membership in the LDS church has blessed me and my family in so many ways. It gave my three sons the opportunity to go to Chile, Mexico, and Guatemala to serve 2-year missions for our church. It also gave them the opportunity to get married in the Oakland Temple so that they can be sealed for time and eternity with their spouses. I am a Mormon because I know, without a doubt, that the happiness that my family and I am blessed with is because of the the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Attending the LDS church helped me understand the meaning of service. It has taught me humility and love.
