Hi I'm Adam J.

I like skiing, smiling, and I want to promote ideas to help businesses grow. Yeah, I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love hanging out with friends and family, skiing, hiking, and listening to all sorts of music. I used to BMX race, but I still really enjoy riding bikes. I went to a year of college seeking a degree in International Studies. I'm from a family of all boys and have two fantastic parents. Currently I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (commonly called Mormons) in the Nevada Las Vegas Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both Mormons, so naturally I was raised to me a member of the church. I always believed what I was taught, but it wasn't until I was 19 that I really knew for myself that this really is Jesus Christ's church that He Himself established. While in college, I found that I was most happy when I shared God's love with my friends and family. It's through the gospel of Jesus Christ that I know God loves me, and sharing the gospel daily (even in the littlest ways) brings others to be happy too. My faith in Christ allows me to be positive even in times when life seems to be at its hardest. Having faith also allows me to help others when they need uplifting. It's in uplifting others when I feel most happy in life, and nothing else can bring as much joy as knowing that we have a loving Father in Heaven who cares for us and wants us to succeed. Serving the Lord as a missionary has taught me the way living the teachings of Jesus Christ should play a role in my life. I have seen how many people live in destitute situations and lifestyles with no hope of getting out of it, and that has come because they lack the faith to live gospel standards. I strive to not only believe in Christ, but to believe Him, His promises, His commandments. Though I'm not perfect at it, I know He loves that I have chosen to follow Him.

How I live my faith

As a missionary, I bring the joy of the gospel of Jesus Christ to all of Heavenly Father's children and invite them to come unto Christ.

What is being a Mormon like?

Adam J.
Being a Mormon is wonderful! Because I know what God wants for me and my family in this life and the next, I have no reason to not be happy. I am a part of His restored church, led on earth by His prophet. I know that I have the opportunity to bring my family and I to have eternal life. Nothing else really matters or even compares in significance to that blessing. As a Mormon, I have all the reason to be happy, and no reason at all to despair. Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Adam J.
We can increase our faith in Christ in many ways. One of the ways that is most meaningful to me is in service. When we serve each other, we show Christ-like love to those who we lend a helping hand, lift a heavy burden, or simply share a friendly smile. By serving people around us, we show our love for God, and, in effect, serve Him (Mosiah 2:17). Show more Show less

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Adam J.
Nope. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Adam J.
Yes! Why would God, who knows our needs and loves us, refrain from calling someone to help all His children know how to live righteously in such a trying world? Our Father in Heaven has called prophets since the beginning of time. He knows when His children (all of mankind) will heed their inspired counsel. When He knows they won't, He withdraws His prophets for a time, until the opportunity is right to once again restore truths that bring everlasting happiness into the lives of all who turn to to Him.
