Hi I'm Jim

I'm a Mormon. I am a husband and father of 4 -- 2 boys and 2 girls.

About Me

I enjoy spending time with my family. I like to golf, fish, camp and run.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was young, my family was not active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church). My mother was not a member. My father died when I was 6 and my youngest brother was only 18 months. My mother wanted us to have a religious upbringing so she selected the Mormon Church. We started slowly in the Church, but became more and more active as we learned more about the Church and about the gospel of Christ. I served a mission to Argentina and fell in love with the doctrine of salvation through Jesus Christ. I am happy to serve and have developed some great friendships through my participation in the Mormon Church.

How I live my faith

I try to be a friend to all I meet. I receive many opportunities to serve. Yesterday I was asked to teach some primary children about I Corinthians 3: 16 & 17 (Our bodies are Temples). I have been asked to do many things that I considered beyond my abilities, but the Lord has always compensated for my inadequacies.

What is being a Mormon like?

Jim
It is like being a member of any Christian church, only you will have more opportunities to provide Christ-like service. Show more Show less
