Hi I'm Shelly

I grew up in Provo, Utah and have lived in several states across America in my adult life. I love teaching dance.

About Me

I am a mother of four and am very involved in volunteering in my childrens schools; I especially enjoy being at the elementary school because I believe the so much good can be done through helping a younger child accomplish goals and feel the love of an adult. I have a great appreciation for the performing arts and love to get to as many live performances that I can; I especially enjoy musicals. I teach dance at a local performing arts studio and enjoy the pure hearts of little children because they are fun to talk to and are so teachable.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in the church gave me a firm testimony of the standards of the church. I cling to them because I appreciate rules and consequences. The Gospel of Jesus Christ tells me what I should be doing and what the benefits are of adhering to those principles. Seeing how following the example of Christ has affected me and others arround me, I know that my life is better because of my involvement with the church. I love the New Testament and learning about the life of the Savior. I often picture myself living at the time of the Savior and contemplating how I would react to the events of His life. Reading about Jesus Christ and His apostles helps me love the Savior.

How I live my faith

Serving in the Church is a big part of my life. I love to be part of making things better and doing my best when given an assignment even if it is only a simple lesson. Over the years, I have found great rewards when teaching children. Though often it seems that there is a lot to do with organization and getting things done; when the Spirit is there, the reward it worth all of the effort!
