Hi I'm Bret

I love the west, I live in colorado and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Husband and a father of two great kids; I work as an Electrician in Colorado. I marvel at the creation, I love the outdoors. I enjoy the beauty of the this Earth, Put a fishing pole in my hands a motorcycle in the truck or a backpack on my back and you will see me enjoying life.

Why I am a Mormon

With other members of my family I joined this church when I was 14 years old. My belief in the teachings of the Church at that age was strong, as I continued to study the Bible and the Book of Mormon my Testimony grew to become solid in the Knowledge that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God, that he came to this earth to save mankind from their sins. When the Master said, "Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I shall give you rest" I believe this with all my heart that only he can take away our pain, our sorrows, and lift our burdens. He also said that when he left that he would not leave us comfortless and that he would send the Holy Ghost and that he would teach us the truth of all things. It is by this voice and this spirit that I have come to know of myself that The Gospel of Jesus Christ is back on the earth the way it was when our Lord walked those dusty streets of Palestine. It’s because of this testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that causes myself and others to spend hours each week doing what we do. If believing that Jesus Christ, the Son of God Is the savior and Redeemer of this world and that he was lifted up on the cruel cross of Calvary, and that through his Atoning blood all mankind may be saved then I am Guilty of being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to live by its teachings. That is by work and trying to become a better person, serving others spending time with family and friends. I try to give thanks daily to my Father in Heaven who has given me all that I have, my talents, my abilities my brains and my every breath. Most important his Son Jesus Christ That I with you may have eternal life someday because of him. I have served in many positions in the church but it seems that I have grown the most when I have had a position that I am the most uncomfortable with. I am not saying I like it that way I am just saying that maybe sometimes when we are ask to reach a little higher that we each become a little better of a person by trying the best we can to do the task that may be in front of us. I currently serve with many brothers and sisters in our Church who are way better people than I will ever be. We work with the adults and the youth in many different ways trying to lift each other to become more like our Lord.
