Hi I'm Jim

I was born & raised in Silicon Valley and now live in Colorado & design computer chips. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an electrical engineer who grew up around electronics & computers. I enjoyed Scouting as a boy and earned my Eagle Scout award. I've also had a love for volleyball. My wife and I have four wonderful children, the youngest is still in college. I enjoy spy novels, jogging, and bike riding. Most of all I enjoy spending time with my family!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. During the summer when I was 17, I read the Book of Mormon privately and thoughtfully. I prayed about what I read. About two-thirds of the way through I obtained my own personal testimony that it came from God. Along with that testimony came an overpowering feeling that God knows me and cares for me. Since that time, my testimony has grown as I have served and continued to prayerfully read the scriptures. The Lord has blessed my life in many ways, and has given me opportunities to help His children.

How I live my faith

I have been taught to love all of God's children, as well as all of His creations. I participate in service projects and enjoy helping others, whether at work, in our neighborhood, or at Church. I read scriptures daily and pray at least twice a day, and try to keep a prayer in my heart at all times. I try to listen for the Spirit to guide me to do good works, and also try to listen when it tells me I've messed up and need to repent or otherwise correct my behavior.
