Hi I'm Shawn

I'm a Chiropractor, I grew up in Oregon and live in Arizona and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 23 years and have two kids, a son 14 and a daughter 9. I am the oldest of 6 kids who were all raised in the church. My father was an adult convert at the age of 23. My mother came from an inactive LDS family. I have been in the Air National Guard, have worked for Boeing and Horizon Airlines before returning to college to become a Chiropractor.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of the church, but I am a member because I have a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel that came when I was a teen and was searching for what I truly believe. I had a witness from the spirit that confirmed what I already knew, that the church was true. To this day whenever I feel weak or confused, that feeling returns and echos my thoughts from that first witness, that I know the church is true and that I just need to have faith and be patient.

How I live my faith

I live my faith day by day. Living my life with an understanding that my Heavenly Father loves me and that if I follow the example of Christ I will return to live with him. I teach Sunday School and try to be a good neighbor to all my neighbors both members and non-members.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

For the same reason George Washington didn't endorse the political party system he felt that each issue and each candidate should be weighed for their merit not their affiliation. You should vote for the best candidate for the position and each issue should succeed or fail on it independent merits. Show more Show less
