Hi I'm Camille

I teach- but not in a classroom, I day dream when I can, I enjoy a good bowl of ice cream, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the same home my entire life until I went to college. I went to a small college where I got my Associates Degree and then I decided to travel a little bit. I moved to Philadelphia with my sister's family for the summer. It was amazing to live out east where there is so much diversity. The next summer I moved to Alaska to be a kayak tour guide. The thing I've learned most from living in different states is how much people have in common no matter nationality or religious background. I love it. Now, I'm living in San Diego for the next year and a half and it is awesome!

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I grew up as a member in the Church my entire life, I had to decide for myself if I believed the things I've been taught. My belief was jump started when I prayed and asked Heavenly Father to know if Joseph Smith was a prophet. As an answer I received a quiet assurance that he was a prophet and that the things I've learned are true. From that time on I've had to continually study, pray, repent, and apply the teachings of Jesus Christ to keep that knowledge strong. I am Mormon because it makes me happy. I am Mormon because I know that there is hope in the world and that things will always work out when I put my trust in the Savior, Jesus Christ. I am Mormon because I have found for myself that the gospel- or the teachings of Christ- have been restored to their fulness and I know that blessings come from living those teachings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying every day to remember Christ and and keep His commandments. I make mistakes every single day, I falter and I'm far from perfect (aren't we all?), but I know that I can always do better the next day. I teach people about the restored gospel and I share my testimony with those who want to listen. I volunteer in a museum to tell the story about a group of soldiers in 1846 and how their faith helped them. I get to share their story and add my own testimony to it.
