Hi I'm Summer

I am my daughters' biggest cheerleader. I am a best friend to my people. I'm a Retired USMC and teacher's wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in the same house my dad grew up in. We have a strong tradition of being loving. My parents always taught my sister and brother and I to love eachother. They are my favorite people. I left CO to go to college in Utah and met a faithful, ambitious, wonderful United States Marine Corps Officer soon after my arrival. It took him a year of wooing till I was ready to be married. It was not how I had mapped out my life but I knew Heavenly Father was behind me and with Him, all righteous things are blessed. As a day dreaming youth, I thought I would be the perfect mom for a bunch of boys. I thought I would live as I was raised, stay in one place and live the all American dream. My husband and I have 3 daughters. We love traveling. And my life is dreamy. The turns my life has made reminds me that God knows me better than I know myself. I could not have planned this life but I wouldn't want any other one. Being a USMC spouse is incredible. I love to meet people from all walks of life. I love moving and growing in new places. I love teaching my daughters that life is as great as you make it. I love serving the Lord, the USA and hot cinnamon rolls every Easter and Christmas morning.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who were already members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have never doubted that the teachings of Christ are true. I have had my struggles but look back at them as life lessons. I know that Heavenly Father has His eye on me and His hand in my life. He hears my prayers and knows my heart. I learned early in life that choosing to do right is the way to happiness. I am so grateful for the direction the scriptures and modern-day prophets give us. I know that when I follow their counsel I am blessed and my burdens are made light. The gospel of Jesus Christ makes so much sense. It's principles are simple and pure. I love my Heavenly Father and Savior and I know they know me and love me. The Holy Spirit witnesses to me of these truths and guides me to do God's will. For that I am so grateful.

How I live my faith

I try to do a good turn daily. I am responsible for the 12-18 year old Young Women at church. I love to volunteer at my children's schools. Spending time with my family is my first priority. I smile at or speak with all those I pass. My hope is to share the love I feel from my Heavenly Father with others, that they may feel His love for them through me.
