Hi I'm Nielle

Yo soy misionera. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 22 years old and currently serving a full-time, Spanish-speaking mission in Tampa, Florida. I love sports, even extreme ones. I love seeing the miracles of God in the lives of the people I teach, and I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 4 years old, my mom decided it was time to join the church. Her main reason for joining was because she knew that she wanted to be sealed to her family in the Temple for time and all eternity. My father, supporting and respecting her wishes was reactivated and together they sacrificed, overcame, and worked to eventually be sealed together with my siblings and I in the Temple. I know that their sacrifices were made because of their love for my Savior and me. I'm a Mormon because I know without a doubt that this is the true church and no other can compare. I know this Gospel truly is meant for everyone who may be out there searching. It is a message of Heavenly Father, His Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, and the Eternal Plan of Happiness. Its true and I love it with all my heart!

How I live my faith

The best way to live your faith is to share it. That's what I do, every single day, and I love it.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Mormon missionaries visiting your home will bring a message about Jesus Christ and His Atonement and love for everyone. They will share about Heavenly Father's Plan of Salvation, or the Plan of Happiness, which is the way He has provided for us that we might return to live with Him again. There are many topics that can be discussed but the most important thing they will talk about is their testimony of the Gospel and the way in which you too can gain a testimony of it. Their message is one of peace, happiness, and sincerity and simply requires an open mind and heart! Show more Show less

What is faith?

Faith is the "hope for things which are not seen, which are true," as stated in the Book of Mormon, Alma 32:21. Alma taught his people much about Faith but my favorite definition comes from the Bible Dictionary as written in the King James Version of the LDS addition. It states that "Miracles do not produce faith, but strong faith is developed by obedience to the gospel of Jesus Christ; in other words, faith comes by righteousness, although miracles often confirm one’s faith." When talking about Faith, many ask how they can gain it, and here is the answer; be obedient. It's simple and direct and Faith is what governs the way we conduct ourselves. It is cyclical in that through obedience, we recieve Faith, but in turn we receive a greater desire to be obedient after we have gained Faith and the cycle continues. What a great definition! Another aspect of Faith that I love is that Heavenly Father promises in that same Chapter, Alma 32:27 that if we will "experiment upon my words, and exercise a particle of faith, yea, even if ye can no more than desire to believe, let this desire work in you, even until ye believe" and let that seed of Faith be planted, it will grow. I know that Faith is a requirement. We must have Faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ and know that it is through Him that we are saved. I testify that He knows you and He wants you to know that. Have Faith in Him and I add my testimony, your Faith will grow and you will find the truth. Show more Show less
