Hi I'm Kathy

I grew up in Seattle, WA. I'm a Mother, a Grandma, a Dental Assistant/School Bus Driver and a convert to the Church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’m a Mom of 8 children; now divorced. They are all grown and married. I love nature and to go for walks; good music and literature. I was blessed when several amazing missionaries shared the gospel with me and was baptized at age 18 (40yrs.ago). I had always wanted a forever marriage “not till death due you part”. Marriage is for Eternity. My family and my belief in God are the most important things in my life. Besides spending time with them and my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I’m a Mormon because living the gospel has brought me closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ. Life brings with it many trials and adversities. With each trial or challenge I remind myself that Heavenly Father knows each of us individually and that in the end He will make all things right. I make a commitment daily to live the gospel to the best of my ability. If I fail on one day, I just try harder the next. This is why repentance is so wonderful. We get many do-over’s provided by our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know I am a better person for being a member of this Church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by raising my children to be responsible and loving people. I enjoy going to Church on Sundays and being with other people who share the same values and faith. I enjoy making people smile. I never had the opportunity to attend seminary or participate in the youth programs of the Church. But thru many callings to serve the youth I have continued learning more about the gospel thru teaching and earning my own Young Women’s Medallion while serving as a Young Women President. This Medallion is viewed highly honorable and as an equivalent for Young Women just as a Eagle Scout Award is to the Young Men. I attend the Temple regularly and enjoy working on Family History. I also live my faith by being and example to other’s…by following the commandments found in the Bible and Book of Mormon. I try to emulate Christ’s love for others by treating other’s as I would want to be treated! Twice a year, in Aril and October General Conference, we have the opportunity and look forward to listening to a living prophet, counsel and direct us on how to navigate thru these difficult times. What a great blessing for our daily lives.
