Hi I'm Jessie

I am a wife and stay at home mother to two beautiful little girls. I am a daughter of God and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a large family and I am blessed with wonderful siblings. They have become my closest friends since I have moved out and started my own family. I got to marry my best friend after he returned home from his mission and we have been blessed with two wonderful daughters. The mundane tasks of motherhood can be a little hard sometimes but it's nothing compared to the joy I feel when I see them laugh or their joy when they learn something new. I spend my personal time exercising by biking, walking, or taking a fitness class. I also have always loved to read and try to do it as often as possible whenever I have spare time.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know it's true. I don't live this lifestyle because it is easy or even because this is how I was raised. I chose this lifestyle and continue to live this lifestyle everyday because I have been blessed to know why we are here on this earth and what we are supposed to be doing while we are here. I am grateful for this knowledge because it has brought me peace in my life. I lost my Mom when I was just becoming a teenager and I remember feeling so blessed to know that I will see her again... that life does not end after we die. As the years have gone on since my Mother's passing, I always try to think and remember what she was like because I don't want to forget her. The one thing that stands untarnished in my mind is her testimony. My Mom was not an out going person but she did not hesitate to share her testimony. One of my last memories of her is her sharing her testimony and although I cannot recall the words she said, I remember how I felt when she shared them. I've held onto those feelings over the years and I feel the same thing when I attend church, follow the commandments and attend the temple. I am grateful for my Mother's wonderful example because although her life was short here on earth, her choices and faith will affect my family and I forever.

How I live my faith

For the past year I have been a bit occupied taking care of babies to formally participate in a calling but I have really tried to take my visiting teaching seriously. It's been wonderful to get to know the other sisters in the ward and I really look forward to visiting with them each month. It really is the best advice to "forget yourself" and focus on others when life gets hard. I'm grateful for that reminder each month.
