Hi I'm Mary

I am a wife and a mother of 5 young kids and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to an amazing man who I met my last year of college. We have been married for almost 10 years now and we have 5 beautiful children together. I am a very busy mother because my children are 8, 7, 5, 2 and 1 years old. I make 100% whole wheat bread once a week and I am very interested in nutrition. I play volleyball, basketball, tennis and I love to swim. In the winter I am a snowboarder whenever I am not pregnant. :) My education is in Family Finances and I taught personal finance for a year at the end of college. My passion is to keep people happy with their marriage and finances. My husband and I team teach a class called "Financial Fitness" and enjoy helping people to achieve their financial goals.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon! I attend meetings with my family every Sunday and learn how to become more like Jesus. I know that people are not perfect, but when we meet together in church we can help each other to overcome the hard things in life and to celebrate the good things together. My ward family is really that. We are like family to each other because we care about how everyone is doing. One way we take care of each other is through visiting teaching. This is where two women come to visit me at my home once a month to give me a message and make sure I have what I need. This last year I was very pregnant when my sister passed away suddenly. My visiting teachers brought meals and flowers and love in a time when I really needed it. This is how we become like Jesus. He loves me and has given me this church and these visiting teachers to be his hands on earth. I know that this church is true. I have read the Book of Mormon many times and have prayed to Heavenly Father to know if it is true. The Holy Ghost has confirmed that truth to me in my heart and my head over and over. I love Jesus Christ and know that " when I am in the service of others I am also in the service of God"

How I live my faith

In my ward I am in the Relief Society Presidency. That means that I get to help take care of the women. I love this calling. Through this service I have made many new friends and have a better understanding of the hard things that everyone is experiencing. I then have the opportunity to help women with their various needs. It is amazing how you quickly start to love those you serve.
