Hi I'm Misty

I'm a 40 year old mom of 4, and I just went back to school for a degree in elementary education. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to make cards, bake, read and go exploring. I love to see new places. I'm a mom of 3 teenage boys, and finally a daughter. I like to go to movies, and out to dinner with my husband and friends. My family likes to go visit grandma because she lives in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. My husband is a high school principal.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in an LDS home. I know that when I pray to my Heavenly Father he hears and answers my prayers. The Holy Ghost confirms to me that what the prophet, and our church leaders direct us to do is guidance from God. I feel privileged to have such a sure knowledge of this. It helps me lead a peaceful and comforting life. I know where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going.

How I live my faith

I have had several opportunities to serve in the church. My most recent callings have been, primary president which is the leader of the children ages 18 months to 11. We have teachers and classes for kids to learn about Jesus, Heavenly Father, and basic gospel principals. There is always a lot of singing too. I have been the nursery leader, who takes care of the littlest children, 18 months- 3 years old during church so parents can attend their meetings, and right now I serve as the ward librarian. I don't think anyone gets out of helping to organize an event in this church! We all work together to plan and create dinners, presentations, classes, and outings.
