Hi I'm Karen

I am a wife, a mom & a step-mom of six, a grandma of three. I am an interior designer and I’m a Mormon!

About Me

I’m the wife of an amazing man who is the love of my life I am truly thankful for him and for the strength he is to me. I am the mom/step-mom of six grown children: three beautiful daughters, two wonderful step-sons and one beautiful step-daughter. I am blessed to be the grandma of two adorable grandsons ages 5 and 4 and one darling two year old granddaughter who is just a little princess and the boss of her household. I live in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains in Washington State close to nature where I can enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities. I work in Seattle as an interior designer and have had the wonderful experience of working on projects for corporate clients around the world. My greatest joy in life comes from spending time with my family; I cherish the relationships that I share with them. The best part of aging, I have found, is being a grandma – nothing in life can top the joy that fills my soul when I hear one of those precious little grandchildren say ‘I love you Grandma’.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into the church it wasn’t until I was an adult that I truly developed a deep and enduring testimony. I have such a love for my Savior, Jesus Christ, he is truly my Redeemer. I think the greatest knowledge that I have is knowing without a doubt how mindful He is of me on a personal basis. I know he loves me. I have a firm testimony of the truthfulness of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God; I am so thankful for this additional book of scripture that gives direction to my life and is another testament of my Savior.

How I live my faith

My faith is very important to me – it is the essence of who I am. I attend church each week and draw strength through personal prayer and scripture study. The gospel of Jesus Christ inspires me and helps me to be a better person than I can be on my own. I try to live each day is such a way that I am an example of my Savior. I love doing service for my family members and within my community.
