Hi I'm Gary

I have lived in Arizona all my life, I love living here. My ancestors were pioneers and settles here in the 1800's. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am a welder by trade and work in a coal fired generating station. I have worked there for 32 years and enjoy the work and those I work with. I love to fish and hunt, go camping, ride snowmobiles, motorcycles and atv's and also go to the sand dunes in California. I have a wonderful wife and 4 children and 7 grandchildren. I love spending time with my children and their families we enjoy going to the lake and wake boarding, skiing and fishing, and also going camping with them.

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors on my fathers side of the family imigrated here in the 1800's. They came to California from New York in 1846 on the ship Brooklyn. My mother converted to the church when I was a baby, and she would always take me with her when she attended her church meetings. As I continued to grow I gained a testimony of my own of the truthfulness of the church. And now after many years as a member of the church I know, that I as well as my family have been greatly blessed because of our faith and membership in the church. This isn't to say that I haven't had trials in my life, because I have had many but I believe the gospel in my life has helped me to over come them. I have seen the blessing of the gospel of Jesus Christ bless not only my self and my family but many others. I know that our Savior Jesus Christ atoned for each of us and because of this everyone will have the opportunity to be together as families and, to live with and be in the presence of our Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because, of the teaching's in the church. It teaches me to serve others and to strive to become like our Savior. I have had the opportunity over the years to serve in many different capacities. I have served in cub scouts, boy scouts, I have also served in clerk positions which allowed me to serve others in our ward by keeping minutes of meetings, sending and receiving membership's. I have served as a stake missionary which allowed me to share my feelings, and testimony about the church with others. I have families that I hometeach, this allowes me to watch out for their needs and to share a message with them monthly. I am currently serving in a position in which I am responsible for several men, women and children. This is a big responsiblilty but I certainly don't do this by myself. I have many men and women who help to acomplish all that needs to be done. I have no doubt that we are about the Lords work, and it is great to have so much help and support from others. It gives me a good feeling knowing that we are all striving to serve others and share one another's burdens and lighten the load of others. I know that this is what our Savior would have me do.
